Manner village on the Leitha Mountains is a town with 3851 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Bruck an der Leitha in Lower Austria.

Geography

The city Manner am Leithagebirge located in the industrial district at the foot of the Leitha Mountains in the southeastern part of Lower Austria. The area of ​​the municipality covers 29.8 square kilometers. 42.15 percent of the area is forested.

Manner village consists of only a single cadastral, it is, however, another place about four kilometers northeast of the village men, Wasen Bruck with around 400 inhabitants. History

In the hallway " Reinthal South " over 90 graves were excavated in 1980 from the La Tène period and scientifically studied. In ancient times, the area was part of the province of Pannonia. In the core Austrian state of Lower Austria lying, the place told the eventful history of Austria. The history of the last centuries is linked to strong today with the limestone quarrying in the Leitha Mountains, it was burned in the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century, the mined limestone. The rock was also used a lot in Vienna at the ring road. 1894 saw the establishment of the existing until today Mannersdorf cement factory in which up to now, the lime is processed into cement.
