Mannheim Steamroller
Mannheim Steamroller is an American rock group founded by Chip Davis. She has sold in the U.S. alone more than 27 million albums. It describes itself as a classic rock band of the 18th century.
History
Mannheim Steamroller began the producer and composer Chip Davis as a pseudonym. The name is an ironic mixture of two terms: the Mannheim roller (English: Mannheim Roller), a German art music of the 18th century, as well as steam roller (English steamroller ).
