Mano River

The Mano is a river in West Africa, which rises in the highlands of Liberia. It forms the natural border between Liberia and Sierra Leone.

It flows through several regions in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia. The Mano 's namesake founded by the three riparian countries in 1973 Economic Union Mano River Union.

After years of civil wars in both countries a major bridge over the Mano between Liberia and Sierra Leone was re- opened in 2007.
