Manohla Dargis

Manohla Dargis (* April 1961 ) is an American film critic and journalist. Currently she is, along with AO Scott, chief film critic for the New York Times.

Life

Manohla Dargis grew up in the East Village, Manhattan. She graduated from school in 1978 at the Hunter College High School and her graduation in 1985 in literature at the State University of New York. She was a film journalist at the Village Voice, LA Weekly and chief film critic for the Los Angeles Times.
