Manoj Kumar (Boxer)

Manoj Kumar (born 10 December 1986) is an Indian amateur boxer in the Light Welterweight.

Kumar comes from the north Indian state of Haryana. His first major success was winning the bronze medal at the Asian championship boxing matches in 2007. At the 2010 Commonwealth Games, he won the final against the Englishman Bradley Saunders and thus gold in the light welterweight. In 2011, Kumar was defeated in the quarterfinals of the British Amateur - box world championships Tom Stalker on points.

Due to its good performance in the boxing world to Manoj Kumar qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. There he won in round one against the Turkmen Serdar Hudaýberdiýew. In the second round Kumar got back to Tom Stalker and lost a questionable decision point for Kumar.
