Manolis Andronikos

Manolis Andronikos (Greek Μανόλης Ανδρόνικος; born October 23, 1919 in Bursa, † March 30, 1992 in Thessaloniki ), also transcribed as Andronicos, was a Greek archaeologist and a professor at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Andronikos is primarily known for the discovery of ancient royal tombs in Macedonia (Northern Greece). The graves may belong to the Macedonian king Philip II, father of Alexander the Great. On November 8, 1977 Andronikos discovered the ungeplünderten royal tombs of Vergina with work in an amazing richness.
