Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon

Manolo Fortich is a metropolitan area municipality in the province of Bukidnon on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. It has 91 026 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 22 barangays. It belongs to the first class of income communities in the Philippines and is described as a partially urbanized. In the community there is a External Study Center of the Bukidnon State University.

It is located about 55 km north of the provincial capital, Malaybalay City, the travel time by bus is about 90 minutes, and 35 km south of the regional capital of Cagayan de Oro, travel time by bus takes about 45 minutes. Your neighboring municipalities are Cagayan de Oro and Malitbog in the north, and Sumilao Impasug -ong the east, the west and libona Baungon in the southwest. The topography of the parish is described as mountainous with large canyon -like valleys and large plateaus. The highest elevation in the territory of the municipality reaches 1,979 meters above sea level and is located in Barangay Dahilayan. The lowest point of the municipality is located in Barangay Minsuro at 257 meters above sea level. To the south is the mountain range of Mount Kita Glad.

The Mangima Canyon lies along the Sayre Highway, about 2 km away from the community center. The Mount Kitanglad Range Natural Park is located in the south of the municipality and is accessible from the barangay Dahilayan and Kalugmanan. The Abyawan - ridge lies along the road to the silo -o station and the tree nursery of the Bukidnon Forest Inc.. From here one offers panoramic views across the canyon of the river Tagoloan, which flows through the barangays Dalirig, Lingi -on and Santo Niño. The approximately 1,859 meters long Sumalsag Cave with its large stalactites can be achieved only through the Barangay Dalirig, but is in the area of the municipality Sumilao. From the hills of Mount Pulog offers a panoramic view of the northern plateau Bukidnons.
