Action

Theme of the film is the American criminal Charles Manson and his commune, the Manson Family. Interviews with supporters of the family, especially with Lynette " Squeaky " Fromme and Sandy Good provide insight into the matters of the Group. In addition to footage of the Spahn Movie Ranch, on the lived the family, the life of Charles Manson is described by his birth in 1934 to the murders of actress Sharon Tate and Leno and Rosemary LaBianca couple in 1969. Vincent Bugliosi, the prosecutor who was investigating Charles Manson, is also interviewed.

Criticism

Vincent Canby of The New York Times published the movie as a rip-off, the provisions adopted in the shocking details.

On the other hand rated the " TimeOut Film Guide " reportage as though tendentious but not as sensational. You can complain about is that the scarce footage had to be stretched to a feature-length length.
