Manuel Amador Guerrero

Manuel Amador Guerrero ( * June 30 1833 in Columbia, † May 2, 1909 ) was the first President of the Republic of Panama.

Guerrero was a member of the Conservative Party, a medical officer in the Panamanian army, and in 1903 the leader of the liberation movement against Colombia. November 4, 1903 to October 1, 1908, he was President of the new Republic of Panama. His successor as president was José Domingo de Obaldía.

The Orden de Manuel Amador Guerrero, the highest honor award of Panama, was named after him.
