Manuel de Sá

Emmanuel Sa (* 1530 in Villa de Condé, † December 30, 1596 in Arona ( Piedmont) ) was a Portuguese theologian, priest and teacher.

He studied at the University of Coimbra philosophy and theology. In April 1545 he was inducted into the Society of Jesus. After various teaching activities as a professor of theology, including in Spain, he took over in 1557 teaching at the Roman College. As his most important work applies Aphorismi Confessariorum ex doctorum sententiis collecti (over 50 editions ), published after 40 years of working a year before his death. 1603, this work was put on the Index Librorum Prohibitorum.
