Manuel Mark

Mark Manuel ( born November 10, 1985 in St. Johann in Tyrol ) is an Austrian Taekwondo. It starts in the weight class up to 74 kg.

Mark played his first title fights at the Junior World Championship in 2002 in Heraklion, where he was able to move into the quarterfinals. In the adult area, he made his debut at the World Championships 2005 in Madrid. With three victories, he came down to the last sixteen. Mark also took part in the European Championships in Riga and managed with the quarter-finals a good result. The first international medals he won in the category up to 72 kg at the 2008 European Championships in Rome and in the class up to 74 kg in 2010 in Saint Petersburg. He reached the final, where he lost to Ridvan Baygut and won the silver medal at both the European Championships. With the quarter-finals at the 2011 World Championships in Gyeongju he scored his best ever World Cup result.

Participation in the Olympic Games twice just missed Mark. Every year in the quarterfinals of the European qualification he defeated in 2008 in Istanbul against Dennis Bekkers and 2012 in Kazan against Michał Łoniewski.

Mark began seven years ago in a club of his hometown with the Taekwondo. In 2005 he was appointed as a sports soldier in the army sports center in Innsbruck. Mark has completed training as a tiler, since 2011, he studied computer science at the University of Hagen.

On August 24, 2012, he ended his athletic career. Since 2014, Mark national coach of Austria.
