Manuel Mozos

Manuel Mozos ( born June 6, 1959 in Lisbon ) is a Portuguese film director.

Career

He studied history and philosophy before he moved to Lisbon University for Film and Theatre in Amadora and film specialist with a focus on " average " occupied. In 1989 he made ​​his first film, " To Passo, Outro Passo e Depois ... " ( " One step, one step, and then ..." ), with Henrique Canto e Castro, Sandra Garcia and Pedro Hestnes in the lead roles and the film music of Rodrigo Leão. He won the International Film Festival of Belfort the award as " Best Film". At the same place he won a prize with his first full feature film " Xavier " in 1992.

There were other projects, in addition to feature films, video clips and documentaries, such as the European Capital of Culture Lisbon 1994 ( " Lisboa no cinema", " Lisbon in the cinema " ), with images from 28 Portuguese films, the images of the city show (see also list of films with respect to Lisbon). His documentary " Ruínas " ( " Ruins" ) of 2009 won awards at film festivals " FID Marseille " and " IndieLisboa ". In the same year came his feature film " 4 Copas " in the theaters.
