Manuel Schmiedebach ( 2013)

Manuel Schmiedebach ( born December 5, 1988 in Berlin ) is a German football player. He is since 2008 in Hannover 96 under contract.

Club career

Youth and amateur

Wrought Bach played from 2003 in the Youth for Hertha BSC and became German champion of the Junior B 2004/05. For the season 2008/ 09 he moved from the second team of Hertha to Hannover 96, where he initially also played in the second team. In the first season he scored in the Regionalliga for Hannover 96 II in 30 games and five goals were twelve templates.

Hannover 96

Since the 2009/10 season he joined the Bundesliga squad of Hannover 96. His first Bundesliga game completed Schmiedebach 8 August 2009 in the 0-1 defeat of his team at Hertha BSC. Here he was brought on by former coach Dieter Hecking in 89 minutes for Jiří Štajner. At the end of that season became Schmiedebach a key player and helped with strong performances in the relegation of his team. In May 2010 Schmiedebach extended his contract until 2012. During the season 2010/11 he qualified and his team with fourth place in the league for the Europa League. He came there with his team to the quarter-finals. In January 2012 Schmiedebach signed a four year contract to Hannover 96 ties him until 2016.

On August 23, 2012 Manuel Schmiedebach scored his first competitive goal for the first team of Hannover 96 at 5:3 against Slask Wroclaw.

National

Manuel Schmiedebach came between 2006 and 2007 to ten appearances for the German U-19 national team, which he managed to score a goal.

Thanks to its multicultural background, he would be eligible to play for some nations, but he is considering aground for the Venezuelan national football team, he should not be considered by the DFB until 2013.

Manuel forge Bach's father Helmut is German with Irish ancestors. Manuel Schmiedebach is grew up bilingual, Spanish and German. Mother Betty is Colombian, who emigrated with his grandmother as a child to Venezuela. His grandfather is Moroccan with Portuguese ancestors. He has three sisters and a brother.
