Manufacturing Commercial Vehicles

The Manufacturing Commercial Vehicles, internationally known under the short name MCV Corporate Group, was established in 1994 is an Egyptian automobile, bus and truck manufacturers. The company was formed from the purchase of factory buildings of the Group and of the Ghabbour bus manufacturer Marshall bus. In addition to building on chassis of the Mercedes-Benz brand vehicles also the in-house brand MCV are produced. Also the brands eVolution and ECHOSLINE belong to the manufacturers.

After the establishment of the plant in Egypt MCV initially focused on building the Mercedes- Benz chassis. As a parts supplier for the two works, the new parent company also established the functions as a sister company Enterprise Superstructures Metal Industries of Salheya (MIS). This also works on with the development and manufacture of trailers and roof systems of the vehicles. In 1996 the company took finally the production under its own brand name.

It finally succeeded in opening of CKD assembly plants in:

  • Cuba (1995 through a joint venture with the Ministerio del Transporte de la República de Cuba ): San Cristóbal de La Habana ( Commercial Vehicles Manufacture )
  • Algeria (2000 as an importer, in 2006 as a domestic manufacturer ): Algiers
  • United Arab Emirates ( 2002): Abu Dhabi
  • United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (2002 by buying the manufacturer Marshall Bus): Ely ( MCV Bus & Coach)
  • South Africa ( 2007): Parow (producer: De Haan 's Bus & Coach )
  • Uzbekistan (2010 in a joint venture with the UzAvtosanoat ): Tashkent (Manufacturing Buses Central Asia)

The capacity currently stands at 6,200 units / year. On 25 December 2008, MCV also presented at the IAA in Hanover. Since then the company has a presence on the German market and sells the models here MCV 600 Super High deck and MCV C120. However, these come from Sudanese and Algerian production. The British brand models eVolution remain the German market so far withheld. It produces the models both as a link arm and right hand drive. In Mexico and in Cuba, the MCV is also responsible as a general importer for the Mercedes -Benz, Setra, smart and Maybach.
