Manzat
Manzat is a commune with 1268 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the Puy -de- Dôme in the Auvergne region. It belongs to the district of Riom and Canton Manzat.
The community is located 30 km north- west of Clermont- Ferrand in the Monts Domes at the Regional Natural Park of the Volcanoes of Auvergne (in French Parc naturel régional des Volcans d' Auvergne ).

History
Manzat lies on the Roman road, the Riom with Évaux -les- Bains joined. The place was called in 1163 and 1392 Amanziaco then Manzac.
A district of Manzat is Le Bouchet (also called Vauluisant ); here is the Cistercian abbey of Le Bouchet - Vauluisant, which was founded in 1192 in the filiation of Mori Moon by Robert IV, Count of Auvergne, for monks of Val- Honnête. The abbey was temporarily laying the grave of the Counts of Auvergne ( for example, Robert VII, John I, Guy de Boulogne ).
