Mapo Doufu

Mapo bean cheese (Chinese麻 婆 豆腐, mapo Dòufǔ Pinyin ) is a Chinese dish from the Sichuan Province.

Today it is cooked in many Asian countries, in numerous variations. The main ingredients are minced meat and tofu, with the sauce originally very sharp ( with Szechuan pepper ) was, however, was somewhat mitigated in other regions. Frequently it is thickened with starch. Depending on the region other ingredients may be added: Spring onions, red peppers, garlic, sesame oil and others

Japanese Mābōdōfu (麻 婆 豆腐) called, is also very popular there and advances to a dish of Japanese cuisine.
