Mappy

Mappy (JapaneseマッピーMAPPI ) is a 1983 by Namco developed and sold by Midway Games arcade game. The game is a side-scroller with cartoon -like characters. The player takes control of Mappy, a mouse in a police uniform. The name " Mappy " is likely inspired by the Japanese term mappo, a derogatory term for a police officer.

Gameplay

The player moves Mappy by joystick left and right through the venue of the match, the Villa. There is also a button that can open and close doors with the Mappy. The aim of the game is to recover several stolen items. Here, the player must dodge the cats thieves ( Mewkies or Meowkys in the U.S. version ) and the Boss Cat ( Nyamco or Goro in the U.S. version ). Objects

For each collected object there is a set number of points:
