Malvasia Bianca Lunga is a white grape variety and many varieties of the family of Malvasia within Italy.

The variety is very old and probably of Greek origin. In Cyprus, it is known under the name Mavasia Lunga. The cultivation of the variety is recommended or approved in most provinces of Italy.

The late-ripening variety is growing strong and gives very good yields. The juice gives soft -bodied white wines with a beautiful aroma. The wines find their way into the DOC wines Barco Reale di Carmignano and Carmignano, Bianchello Metauro, Bianco Capena, Chianti (blending since 2006 prohibited) and Chianti Classico, Colli Altotiberini, Amerini Colli Colli dell'Etruria Centrale, Colline Lucchesi, Est! Est! Est! Montefiascone, Gravina, San Gimignano, Vin Santo del Chianti, Vin Santo del Chianti Classico and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.

After since 2006 the admixing is prohibited to Chianti, the variety was offered in diem growing region using the IGT wine Galestro a new marketing platform. The bestockte area is about 9,340 acres.

The Malvasia Nera di Lecce and Malvasia di Brindisi are a natural crossing of varieties Malvasia Bianca Lunga x Negroamaro. Vitovska is a crossroads of Prosecco x Malvasia Bianca Lunga.
