Marat Shakhmetov

Marat Schachmetow ( Kazakh Марат Шахметов; born November 6, 1989 in Almaty) is a Kazakhstani football player.

Career

His active career began in 2006 in Marat Schachmetow his hometown club FK Almaty. After the dissolution of the association at the end of the 2008 season he was transferred to the new association Lokomotove Astana. With this club he won in 2010 the Kazakh Cup. He could repeat this success in 2012.

National

After Marat Schachmetow had already played a few games in the Kazakhstan U17 and U21, he made his debut in the Kazakhstan national team on 10 August 2011 in a friendly against Syria. Then he came to another inserts in qualifying for Euro 2012 and 2014 World Cup.
