Marble cake

Marble cake is a sponge cake made ​​of scrambled or sandy ground. A portion ( usually about 1/3 ) of the mass is dark colored with cocoa and layers only slightly mixed with the rest of the bright mass, thereby reminiscent of marble pattern. It is usually baked in a bowl, rim or box shape.

According to the German Food Code marble cake must as merchandise at least one-third sand containing cocoa or containing batter with at least three percent cocoa.
