Marc Fascher

Marc Fascher (* August 4, 1968 in Hamburg) is a German football coach. He is the nephew of music manager Horst Fasher.

Career

During his active football career he played as a defensive strategist for Concordia Hamburg SV Lurup. At 25, he finished his career as an active player and began coaching career. In his hometown he worked among others in the youth department of Hamburger SV.

His first job as a head coach he took in July 2000 at the fifth-tier Concordia Hamburg, for whom he worked until April 2004. Despite sporting skills to the Bureau of Concordia decided to forego financial reasons to move up to the premier league.

For the season 2004 /05 Fascher moved to Kickers Emden. With Kickers he became an instant masterpiece. The tactical concept Faschers was primarily influenced by a secure defensive. Emden overtook from 34 games 84 points and walked away with a six point lead over second-placed SV Wilhelmshaven to the finish. In the 34 games Kickers conceded only 18 goals. In the first season in the Regionalliga Nord Emden was based on the approach chart ninth, in the following season played Kickers even up to the final day to move up with, but ultimately was fourth. Fascher but already experienced the last season game at Wuppertal SV no longer on the bench with: After differences with the Bureau and the announcement of wanting to leave the club, the Kickers managers released him before the last matchday.

In the 2007 /08 season, he was briefly worked for Sportfreunde Siegen, missed with them but to qualify for the new 3rd Liga. On 23 March 2009 he became coach of third division side FC Carl Zeiss Jena. He succeeds by René van Eck, the victorious loose after a series of games and slipping had been released into the relegation zone. Fascher was already early in the season as a coach in Jena in conversation, the leaders, however, had chosen van Eck. Despite the achieved relegation Fascher was released on May 29, 2009.

March 21, 2010 Fascher became the new coach of SC Preußen Münster, where he was initially a contract until 30 June 2010. This has been extended until the end of the 2010/11 season on 30 April 2010. On 6 May 2011, Marc Fascher rose with Preußen Münster 31 Matchday already at the West Regional in the third league. Thus his contract extended automatically by one year. On January 23, 2012, Preußen Münster parted with immediate effect Fasher. He had previously announced its intention to leave the club at end of season 2011/12.

On September 5, 2012 Hansa Rostock Marc Fasher committed as a successor of the previous day Indemnified Wolfgang Wolf. He was taken up to the end of the season 2012/13 as a coach under contract. After taking Fascher held no clear sporting boom, the contract on the part of the club was not renewed in the summer of 2013.

In mid-March 2014, took Fascher as successor by Waldemar Wrobel as coach at Rot-Weiss Essen.
