Marc Henneaux

Marc Henneaux ( born 1955 in Brussels) is a Belgian theoretical physicist.

Henneaux studied physics at the University of Brussels and received his doctorate in 1980 with Jules and Géhéniau was before 1978/78 Visiting Scholar at Princeton University. As a post - graduate student, he was from 1981 to 1984 at the University of Texas at Claudio Teitelbaum. After that, he conducted research on behalf of the Belgian FNRS Research Society. He became assistant professor in 1996 and professor at the Free University of Brussels in 1993. Since 1998 he is head of the Department of Theoretical and Mathematical Physics (Service de Physique théorique et Mathématique ). Since 2004 he is Director of the Solvay Institute.

Henneaux worked a lot together with Claudio Teitelbaum ( Claudio Bunster ) and wrote him a monograph on the BRST quantization of Eichfeldtheorien.Er is also associated with Teitelbaums Chilean research institute CECS.

2000 he received the Francqui price. In the Laudatiowurde highlighted, among other things, that he soon found evidence of the AdS / CFT correspondence in the 1980s.
