Marc Jaeger

Marc Jaeger (born 1954 ) is a Luxembourg lawyer and judge at the Court of the European Union based in Luxembourg.

Jaeger studied at the Robert Schuman University in Strasbourg and the College of Europe. In 1981 he was admitted as a lawyer in Luxembourg. In 1984, Jaeger judge at the Tribunal d'arrondissement de Luxembourg. From 1986 to 1996 he worked as a Legal Secretary at the Court of Justice of the European Communities. In July 1996 he was appointed judge of the Court of First Instance of the European Communities (since 2007 Court of the European Union). Since 2007 he has been President of the Court of the European Union.
