Marc Sway
Marc Sway, real name Stefan Marc Bachofen, ( born June 25, 1979 in Männedorf near Zurich ) is a Swiss pop-rock musician.
Life
Marc Sway's mother is from Brazil, his father is Swiss. Marc grew up bilingual ( German / Portuguese ) on. Early on, he came into contact with music: his father is rock and blues singer and played flute and saxophone in a rock band, his mother is a professional dance teacher. Marc became influenced by both rock music and Brazilian styles and rhythms like samba and bossa nova.
In his youth, Marc Sway sang in a gospel choir, where he gained first experiences. At 16, he had the opportunity to perform with his band Julinho Martins and at the Jazz Festival in Montreux. Together with his father, his music teacher Denis Roshart and other professional musicians, he had the opportunity to gain a lot of experience with the band " Just for Fun ". At 17, Marc Sway won his first talent competition.
In 2002, he finally got a record deal with BMG in Munich. Sway's debut album Marc 's Way was released it in July 2003 and held for six weeks in the Swiss album charts. The title song " Natural High " was played by the German radio so often that he was among the top 10 of the German airplay charts. Reports and interviews in Bravo, image, Gala, views and appearances in various German, Swiss and Austrian television broadcasts made him known. The single Ready for the Ride reached number 67 of the Swiss Top 100
2006 interpreted Sway together with Daniel Kandlbauer, Kisha and Tanja Dankner the official song of Swiss Olympic for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. The song, titled We're on Fire made it in January 2006 in the Swiss charts ( peak position: 29). In the same year he took part in the reality show The Match of the Swiss Television.
2007, composed by him song Hemmigslos was love, a sung in Swiss German duet Sways with the Music Star winner from 2007, Fabienne Louves published, and went straight to number seven in the Swiss Singles Chart and stayed for weeks in the top 100
2008 Sway released the single " Severina ", a song he had written to the wedding for his wife. It Conquered the same number 10 in the Swiss single charts. With his second album, " One Way ", double Sway after, also reached on front seats Swiss Charts and stayed a few weeks in the Top 100
In 2009 he was nominated for the Swiss Music Awards with " Severina " for the best Swiss song and plays within one year from the summer of 2008 against 100 concerts.
He has been a jury member in January 2013 and coach in the singing talent show The Voice of Switzerland.
