Marc Tarabella

Marc Tarabella ( born March 11, 1963 in Ougrée ) is a Belgian politician ( Parti Socialiste ).

Tarabella, son of immigrants from Tuscany, is Mayor of Anthisnes in the province of Liège. In 2004 he was elected to the European Parliament. In 2007, he laid down the mandate but to be Walloon Minister of Education and Youth. In 2009 he moved back to the European Parliament.

Activities in the EU Parliament in the period from 2009 to 2014.

Member of the Committee for Agriculture and Rural Development, the Committee on Women and Gender Equality rights, and in the Delegation for relations with the countries of Southeast Asia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations ( ASEAN) and the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean.

As deputy is Tarabella the Committee on Internal Market and Consumer Protection, in the Delegation for relations with the United States and in the Delegation to the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly.
