Marc VDS Racing Team
The Marc VDS Racing Team is a Belgian Motorsport team, which was founded in 2009 by Marc van der Straten and combines several separate teams under one name. The team is particularly active in the area of Gran Turismo, but also in the Motorcycle World Championship.

The Marc VDS Racing Team was established under that name in 2009. The abbreviation VDS stands for the surname of the team owner Marc van der Straten. Previously, the team under the name of Belgian Racing was responsible for the operations of the Gillet Vertigo in the Belgian GT Championship and the FIA GT Championship before the racing program in 2008 was terminated.

Group GT1 and FIA GT1 World Championship
2009 used the Marc VDS Racing team as a year of preparation for the FIA GT1 World Championship the following year: It was a Matech Concepts developed Ford GT according to the new regulations, the group GT1 in the FIA GT Championship with Bas Leinders and Renaud Kuppens as a driver employed.
In the newly advertised FIA GT World Championship Marc VDS reported in 2010, two Ford GT. The driver pairings beginning of the season were Bas Leinders and Maxime Martin and Markus Palttala and Renaud Kuppens. In the overseas races in Brazil and Argentina replaced Matteo Bobbi Kuppens. Marc VDS was sixth in the team standings with two third place finishes in the qualifying race. In the same year Marc VDS also stepped up to the 24- hour race at Le Mans with Bas Leinders, Mark and Eric de Doncker Palttala. The team started from second on the grid of the GT1 category, but fell by 26 laps in the race from early on.
After the withdrawal of Matech from the FIA GT1 World Championship, the Marc VDS Racing Team took over the use of two other Ford GT under the name of Belgian Racing. A vehicle was shared by Bas Leinders and Marc Hennerici, before it was replaced by Ricardo Rissati the last race of the season. Regular driver of the second vehicle was Maxime Martin, who took six times with Frédéric Makowiecki and two times with Yann Clairay or Bertrand Baguette. For Belgian Racing drove a total of ten different drivers. The Marc VDS Racing Team was sixth in the team standings and was therefore right in front of Belgian Racing in seventh place.
In 2011, continued the Marc VDS Racing team in the first season of the Blancpain Endurance Series four different vehicle types of the regulations of the GT3 group. Bas Leinders, Maxime Martin and Markus Palttala, the first a Ford GT drove, but later switched to a BMW Z4 GT3, formed the most powerful vehicle crew. For the 24 - hour race at Spa -Francorchamps, Marc Hennerici replaced the Finns Palttala, but to score points in contrast to his usual partners. 2012 Marc VDS focused on the use of two BMW Z4 GT3 in the Pro category in the Blancpain Endurance Series. The one driver trio was again Bas Leinders, Maxime Martin and Markus Palltala, the other, who was replaced at the last race of Nick Catsburg from Henri Moser, Bert Longin and Mike Hezemans. Leinders, Martin and Palttala were able to win two of the five races of the season, but were in the drivers' standings, only joint second. The Marc VDS Racing Team was defeated again the W Racing Team in the team standings.
In 2011, the Marc VDS Racing Team took again at the 24 - hour race at Le Mans in part because it began a owned by Orbello Racing Lola B09/60 located for Vanina Ickx, Maxime Martin and Bas Leinders together with Kronos Racing, the had initially been only on the waiting list.
