Marcel Moussy

Marcel Jean Paul Moussy ( born May 7, 1924 in Algiers, Algeria; † August 10, 1995 in Caen, Calvados ) was a French screenwriter and novelist, and film director who was nominated once for an Oscar for best original screenplay.

Life

Moussy Le sang chaud published in 1952 with his first novel, and in 1959 he started his work in the film industry with the screenplay for They kissed and they beat him (Les Quatre Cents Coups ) by François Truffaut with Jean -Pierre Léaud, Claire Maurier and Albert Rémy. Same for this debut Werkt he was nominated along with Truffaut at the Academy Awards in 1960 for an Oscar for best original screenplay. He worked until 1986 as a screenwriter in the production of over twenty films.

In addition to his work as a screenwriter, he began in 1961 to work as a director and created the film comedy Amour in St. Tropez ( Saint Tropez Blues ) his first film in which Marie Laforet, Jacques Higelin and Pierre Michaël played the lead roles. He staged until 1986, fourteen films and television series, often based on his templates and scripts.
