Marcel Reymond

Marcel Reymond (* July 7, 1911 ) is a retired Swiss ski jumper.

Reymond took part in the 1933 Nordic World Ski Championships in Innsbruck and won on the large hill in front of Rudolf Burkert and Sven Selånger the gold medal. He improved while the old hill record on the Bergiselschanze, the 47.5 m to 70.5 m was since 1927. With the same width but also landed the Austrian Josef Gumpold. However, the hill record lasted only one day. On February 13, 1933, he was beaten by the Norwegians Birger Ruud by another 3.5 m to 74 m and then remained for 22 years. Reymond was the first Swiss ski jumper, who won a gold medal at a World Cup. Only in 2007, won again with a Swiss Simon Ammann before 2009 Andreas Küttel on the large hill world champion.
