Marcellina

Marcellina is a municipality in the province of Rome in the Italian region Latium, located about 7198 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012). It is located 43 km northeast of Rome and 11 km north of Tivoli.

Geography

Marcellina is located north of Tivoli in the Lucretili. It is a member of the Comunità Montana Monti Sabini e Tiburtini.

The nearby towns are Guidonia Monte Celio, San Polo dei Cavalieri and Tivoli

Traffic

The State Road 636 connects Marcellina with Tivoli and the A24 motorway, driveway Tivoli. The station Palombara - Marcellina (4 km away from the town) is located on the railway line Rome - Avezzano.

Policy

Alfredo Ricci (civic list Nuovi Mondi ) was elected in June 2009 for the mayor. He solved Isidoro Salvatori from (since 2004), who did not run.
