Marcello Bertinetti

Marcello Bertinetti ( born April 26, 1885 in Vercelli, † January 2, 1967 ) was an Italian fencer and two-time Olympic champion.

He fought for FC Pro Vercelli. His son Franco Bertinetti won twice with the epee team at the Olympic Games in 1952 and 1956, his grandson Marcello Bertinetti fought also, he took part in the Summer Olympic Games in 1976.

He was also a football player and player-manager of the SG Pro Vercelli, with whom he was in 1908 by Italian masters. It was only founded on his initiative in 1900, a football section, which may be seen as a founding father of the club.
