Marcello Dell'Utri

Marcello Dell'Utri ( born September 11, 1941 in Palermo) is an Italian politician and senator since 2001 for the PDL party and legally convicted Mafioso.

According to the classical Matura in Palermo, he studied from 1961 law at the State University in Milan, where he met Berlusconi. After several years working as a football coach and athletic director in Milan, Rome and Palermo, he joined in 1970, the Cassa de Risparmio the province of Sicily in Catania one. In 1974 he returned to Milan, where he worked for Berlusconi's construction company Edilnord. Since then, he has always been a close and faithful Berlusconi founded his political movement Forza Italia in 1993. Dell'Utri, was sentenced on 11 December 2004 in the first instance because of Mafia membership to nine years in the appeal process in the second instance to seven years imprisonment. An earlier term of imprisonment of two years and three months for tax fraud he has not served due to his parliamentary activity.
