Marcello Mimmi

Marcello Cardinal Mimmi ( born July 18, 1882 in Poggio di Castel San Pietro Terme, Province of Bologna, Italy, † March 6, 1961 in Rome) was archbishop of Naples and later a cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church.

Life

Marcello Mimmi received his theological and philosophical studies at the Seminary of Bologna and received on 23 December 1905, the sacrament of Holy Orders. From 1905 to 1930 he served on the faculty of the seminary of Bologna and worked next as a church pastor. As of July 1916 Mimmi served as military chaplains for prisoners of war, before he was discharged from the army in early 1919. Late twenties, he headed the Regional Seminar of Romagna.
