Marcello Puglisi

Marcello Puglisi ( born May 17, 1986 in Trescore Balneario, Lombardy ) is an Italian race car driver. He currently drives in the International Formula Master and in the GP2 Series, the junior racing series Formula 1

Puglisi began his racing career after several years in karting in 2003 in the Italian Formula Renault Eurocup and in this brand formula. In the Italian racing series he drove for three years; his best season finish was a 13th place. 2003 and 2005 he took part in a total of six races of the Euro Cup, but could not score points. 2005 he also drove a race in the Italian Formula 3

In 2006 he reached the summit in the Euro Series 3000, where he could enter but no points. In this year he also went into the competition series F3000 Masters at the start. In this series he could reach the tenth place in the drivers' standings.

2007 continued Puglisi in newly established International Formula Master. In his most successful motorsport year he won a race and finished fifth overall.

At her debut in 2008 Puglisi went in the GP2 Asia Series for the Piquet Sports team at the start, but could not score points. In the current season he moves back to the International Formula Master. At the race in Pau, the first victory was in this class. After an accident, the driver Davide Valsecchi GP2 during the race weekend in Istanbul took Puglise whose place in the team Durango for the race in Monaco, finishing in 17th place.
