Marcelo Pletsch

Marcelo José Pletsch ( born May 13, 1976 in Toledo, Paraná ) is a German - Brazilian footballer.

Career

Pletsch joined in 1999 by DF Oliveira to Borussia Mönchengladbach and was suspended there in the course of the 2004/05 season due to simplistic damaging statements. The suspension was legally challenged by Pletsch, but he was defeated by the Labour Court Mönchengladbach.

Caused a stir Pletsch a crunching tackle on matchday 34 of the 2002/03 season, when he umgrätschte the player Markus Daun from Werder Bremen. Daun was more than six months do not play more football and then was no longer his old form. Referee Wolfgang Stark had Pletsch not even shown a yellow card for this challenge.

Family and Private

Pletschs great-grandparents come from Jettenbach (Pfalz ) and Schwedelbach in the Palatinate. In 2003 Pletsch adopted the German nationality.
