Marchienne -au -Pont is a district of Charleroi in the province of Hainaut in Wallonia in Belgium. Until the local government reform of 1977 Marchienne -au -Pont was a separate municipality. This community numbered 17,000 inhabitants during the merger. Traversed by two rivers, the Sambre and the l' Eau d' heure, Marchienne was once a major industrial center. Today, there is a branch of Arcelor in Marchienne.
