Marchy Lee

Marchy Lee Ying -Kin (Chinese李英健; born September 2, 1976 in Hong Kong ) is a Hong Kong - Chinese racing driver. He takes over with a racing license from Hong Kong.

Career

Lee began his motorsport career in 1990 in karting, where he was active until 1997. In 1998 he moved to Formula racing and finished fourth in the French Formula Campus. It was followed by two years in the French Formula 3 Championship. After he had become in the first season fifth in the B-Class, he joined the second season starting in ninth place overall. 2001 Lee competed in any race series and participated only in individual Formula 3 events. Lee started in 2002 in the Asian Formula 3 Championship and at each Formula 3 events. He finished seventh at the Macau Grand Prix.

2003 Lee took part in four races of the Australian Formula 3 Championship and was a pole position eleventh in the overall standings. In addition, he made his debut for the team Meritus in the Asian Formula BMW, which he finished in ninth place, and took part in the Asian Porsche Carrera Cup. In 2004 he stayed with the team Meritus in the Formula BMW Asia. He won 12 of 14 races and became dominant champion. He scored more than twice as many points as his team-mate Mehdi Bennani, who was runner-up. In addition, he took part in a race in the Asian Formula Renault Challenge, finishing in 24th place overall. 2005 graduated from Lee for a Minardi Formula 1 test.

After a one year break from racing Lee were held in 2006 to only four races of the Asian Formula Renault V6 and finished the season with a podium placement in ninth place overall. 2007 Lee went again to four races of the Asian Formula Renault V6 at the start. This season, he won a race and finished in twelfth place in the drivers' standings. In addition, he went to the Asian Porsche Carrera Cup. There he won two races and finished the season on top of the sixth. 2008 Lee took fifth place in the Asian Porsche Carrera Cup and the ninth in the Speedcar Series. In 2009, he drove only in the Speedcar Series and was twelfth. 2010 Lee was with two wins runner-up in the Asian Porsche Carrera Cups in a Christian Menzel.

In 2011, Lee for Deteam KK Motorsport in a BMW 320 TC at the first three events of the World Touring Car Championship ( WTCC) in part. He stayed with a 14th place as best result with no points.
