Marcia Gay Harden

Marcia Gay Harden ( born August 14, 1959 in La Jolla, California) is an American actress.

Life

Harden comes from a large family. She studied theater at the University of Texas at Austin and at New York University ( Tisch School of the Arts). In 1993, she starred in the play Angels in America.

Since their appearance in Ethan and Joel Coen's Miller 's Crossing mafia movie 1990, she turned up to her breakthrough ten years later with Space Cowboys and Pollock next to cinema and television films. In 2001 she won an Oscar for Pollock, 2003 for an Oscar nomination for Mystic River. She also received the 2009 Tony Award as best actress in the play God of Carnage.
