Marcia Mae Jones

Marcia Mae Jones ( born August 1, 1924 in Los Angeles, California, † September 2, 2007 in Woodland Hills, California ) was an American film actress.

Life

Already her mother Freda Jones (1897-1976) was an actress. Marcia had three older siblings: Margaret, Macon and Marvin, who were also acting as active children. But only Marcia Mae was able to begin an appropriate career. Her first role was in 1926 at the age of two years. In 1937, she starred as Clare Sesemann next Shirley Temple in Heidi; 1939 were both girls together in the film on the little princess. After Jones had made in the 1940s, especially for Powerty - Row Studios films, she retired in 1952 for a few years back to raise her two sons from his first marriage. A second marriage with screenwriter Bill Davenport, which was closed in 1955, failed due to the alcohol and other drug problems. After she had numerous guest roles in television series (including Cannon, The Streets of San Francisco) taken over, she turned in 1973 with The Way We Were her last film.
