Marcia Wallace

Marcia Karen Wallace ( born November 1, 1942 in Creston, Iowa, † October 25, 2013 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American actress and voice actress. Among her most famous roles were Carol Kester Bondurant in The Bob Newhart Show (1972-1977) and the voice of Edna Krabappel in The Simpsons ( 1990-2013 ).

Biography

Your first appearances before the camera had Wallace in 1971. Occasionally she has guest starred in several series, until she finally got in 1972 a starring role in The Bob Newhart Show. With this role, which she played until 1977, they made ​​the breakthrough. After The Bob Newhart Show, it was silent around them, until they finally 1990, the role of Edna Krabappel got in the income animated series The Simpsons, for which she was even in 1992 won an Emmy Award.

Another well-known role of Wallace was the Maggie Hawley in the short-lived series That's My Bush! . Although the series received enough ratings, but was just too expensive.
