Marcin Leopolita

Marcin Leopolita ( Martinus Leopolita ( nus ), and Marcin ze Lvova, Marcin Lwowczyk, Marcin Lwówczyk called; * around 1540 in Lvov, † 1589 ) was a Polish composer.

About the lives Leopolitas is little more known than that he was mentioned in 1560 as a court composer of King Zygmunt II August in Krakow. From him an Easter Mass in Polish hymns and four five-part motets have survived.
