Marcin Lewandowski

Marcin Lewandowski ( born June 13, 1987 in Szczecin ) is a Polish athlete. He is a middle distance runner who specializes in the 800 -meter run.


Marcin Lewandowski starts for the club Zawisza Bydgoszcz. In 2006, he finished fourth at the Junior World Championships in Beijing. It was founded in 2007 in Debrecen U23 European champion over 800 meters and a year later took part in the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing. About 800 m he left in the semifinals. In 2009 he won the silver medal at the European U23 Championships in Kaunas. At the World Athletics Championships in Berlin in 2009 he fell in the semifinals after a collision between the Sudanese Abubaker Kaki and Dutchman Bram Som. After a protest by the Polish team lead, he was just as Bram Som approved for the final. In the final he was finally eighth.
