Marcin ZajÄ…c

Marcin Zając ( born May 19, 1975 in Łódź ) is a Polish footballer.

Club career

The midfielder began his career at the start of Łódź and moved in 1996 to Widzew Łódź. In Widzew Łódź, he played 124 games in the Ekstraklasa, where he met 17 times. In 1997, he was with Widzew Polish champion and played with the club 1996/1997 in the Champions League. In 2002 he moved to Groclin Grodzisk, where it was used regularly. With the Provinklub 2005 he was Polish Cup winner. He then moved in 2006 to Lech Poznań. Here he played two successful seasons before it was 2007/2008 set of coach Franciszek Smuda on the bench. For this reason, in 2008, he joined the employer and since then plays for Ruch Chorzów.

National

Marcin Zając debuted on 24 September 1997 in a friendly match against Lithuania (2-0) in Olsztyn in the Polish national team. From 1997 to 2005, he completed eleven games for Poland. However, he never took part in a World Cup or European Championship.
