Márcio Borges

Marcio Borges ( born January 20, 1973 in Rio de Janeiro as Marcio Borges dos Santos ) is a former Brazilian footballer.

In the season 1996/97 he joined the Brazilian club Botafogo Rio de Janeiro in the Swiss Super League to Yverdon -Sport FC. Already a season later, he joined the SV Waldhof Mannheim, from where he was transferred to the 1999/2000 season to Arminia Bielefeld.

This was the central defender one of the longest Arminen. He had recently signed a contract until 2008, which was true for both the 1st and the 2nd Bundesliga. This contract was terminated in September 2007, as he played in the athletic plans no longer matter and he also wanted to return to Brazil. He ended his career.

Marcio Borges is married and has three children.
