Marco Bonanomi

Marco Bonanomi ( born March 12, 1985 in Lecco ) is an Italian racing driver.

Career

Just as most racers also Bonanomi began his career in 1997 in karting and practiced this sport from to 2000. Then moved the young Italian, 2001 in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup and participated in several races. The following year Bonanomi started again at some races in this series, but his main commitment was in the 2002 Italian Formula Renault, which he finished in 13th place in the overall standings. In 2003, Bonanomi in the Italian Formula 3 Championship and was a pilot of Coloni F3 with a race win fourth in the overall standings. 2004 joined the junior racers in the Formula 3 Euro Series and was unable to repeat his strong performance from previous years in this series. However Bonanomi started in two races of the Italian Formula 3 Championship, which he won both starting from pole position. 2005 moved Bonanomi in the Formula 3 Euro Series for Prema Powerteam and was twelfth overall.

In 2006, Bonanomi again the race series and went into the Euro Series 3000 for Fisichella Motor Sport at the start. With six victories, Bonanomi secured the runner-up title. He was also active in some races in the World Series by Renault. 2007 Bonanomi was mainly engaged in the World Series by Renault and was 13th in the overall standings. He also drove half a season in the newly formed International Formula Master, which he finished in 15th place in the overall standings. 2008 Bonanomi was initially active for Piquet Sports in the new GP2 Asia Series and won the last race of the 2008 season in Dubai. In the overall classification, he finished twelfth. Then the Italians went to the World Series by Renault for Comtec Racing to the start and finished eleventh overall.

2009 started Bonanomi again in the GP2 Asia Series and replaced for the third race weekend Alex Yoong. At his previous achievements he failed to match and remained without points.
