Marco Estrada (footballer)

Marco Andrés Estrada Quinteros ( born May 28, 1983 in Viña del Mar) is a Chilean football player.

Career

Association

Estrada, who can be used as a left-back, in central defense, but also in midfield, his professional career began in 2001 when Everton de Viña del Mar. National

In January 2006, coach Nelson Acosta appointed him the first time for the U-23 national team. In the first game against Denmark he immediately scored his first goal. On September 7, 2007, he debuted at the international match against Switzerland for the first time in the senior team. In qualifying for the 2010 World Cup, he was able to achieve an outstanding second place behind group winners Brazil with Chile. His only goal in qualifying, he scored by a precise free kick in a 4-0 win over Bolivia in Santiago. In May 2010 he was appointed to the squad for the World Cup 2010. There he came to in the third game of the preliminary round to his first and only use throughout the tournament.
