Marco Kofler (footballer born 1989)

Marco Kofler ( born May 8, 1989) is an Austrian football player at the position of a defender. Since 2009, he plays for FC Wacker Innsbruck in the Bundesliga, the highest Austrian league.

Career

Youth

Kofler began his career in the youth team of SV Matrei in Tyrol, where he began in 1996 with the football games. In 2005 he moved to SV Navis, where he was a total of three years active. Beginning of the season 2008/ 09 he was obliged by FC Wacker Innsbruck in the youth department.

Club career

2008/ 09 he was included in the squad for the first team. His debut in the second division were Kofler for the Innsbruck on 15 May 2009 against SV Grödig when he came on in the 90th minute for the Brazilian Fabiano. The away game was won 3-2. In the subsequent rise of the defenders season came on 13 missions and scored one goal against the SKN St. Polten. In addition, he came up with 17 appearances and a goal in the second team in the Regionalliga West. In the Bundesliga season 2010/11 he made his debut in the highest Austrian league 11 December 2010 against Rapid Vienna. The game at Gerhard -Hanappi Stadium ended 3-3 draw. Kofler played from the beginning and had to because of a Patellasehnenverletzung in the 17th minute for Fabian Koch from the square. This is also the reason why the Tyrol was able to record any further use in the Bundesliga and only nine missions in the West Regional.

Since the season 2011/12 Kofler again belongs to the permanent staff of Innsbruck and is in the starting lineup as a set.
