A similar situation had resulted in the team competition: Originally won Marco Kutscher together with his German colleagues in Athens team gold - the third for a German team in a row and ninth overall, but had the gold medal by the disqualification of Ludger Beerbaum in arrears to the Make team of Americans. The Germans were put on the third place.

At the World Cup Final 2011 coachman was up to and including the first revolution of the third special stage with Cash in the lead, but in the end fell back to fourth place.

Olympic Games 2008

Marco Kutscher with Cornet Obolensky took as part of the German show jumping team at the 2008 Summer Olympics in part. After the first round of the team competition, the coachman finished with 13 penalty points, a nurse had administered to the horse by Marco Kutscher a syringe with arnica and Lactanase. Cornet Obolensky then suffered a brief bout of weakness, but was used on the following day in the second round of the Nations, although the administered agents were not registered with the competent official veterinary doctor. This incident became public only through media reports and witness statements until after the Olympics, a doping sample was not taken during the competition. By judgment of 15 June 2010, the FEI to subsequently disqualify coachman due this illicit medication and also decided also to condemn to a five-figure fine. Due to the length of the proceedings, however, the FEI Tribunal gave up an additional barrier of Marco Kutscher.

As with Christian Ahlmann already a member of the German Show Jumping Olympic Team ( this, however, due to doping ) was disqualified, leaving only two to evaluative results of the German show jumpers, so that the German show jumping team in the team competition of the 2008 Olympic Games is no result ( it would be at least the results of three team riders required).
