Marco Ureña

Marcos Danilo Ureña Porras (born 5 March 1990 in San José ) is a Costa Rican football player. The striker plays since 2011 the Russian first division side FC Kuban Krasnodar.

Playing career

In February 2007, he made his debut for the first team from LD Alajuelense in the Primera División de Costa Rica. By the end of 2010, he completed 89 games, scoring ten goals.

On 8 February 2011, he joined the Russian club Kuban Krasnodar Albacete. Ureña received a four- year contract.

National

Marco Ureña played for the youth teams U -17, U -20 and U -23 Costa Rica. He took in 2007 at the U-17 FIFA World Cup finals. With the U -20 selection, he finished fourth at the Junior World Cup in 2009 in Egypt.

In 2010 he was appointed to the national team of Costa Rica. In his first major tournament, the Central American Cup 2011, he scored a total of 3 goals and was named along with Rafael Burgos from El Salvador to the scorer.
