Marcos Angeleri

Marcos Alberto Angeleri ( born April 7, 1983 in La Plata) is an Argentine football player. Since 2013 he is in the Spanish Primera División at FC Málaga under contract.

Career

Estudiantes de La Plata

Angeleri played in 2002 in the first team of Estudiantes de La Plata. After good performances at club Angeleri was appointed six years after his breakthrough by Diego Maradona in the Argentina national team, in which he, however, could not prevail.

After three internationals, in two of these it was only a substitute, Angeleri was not nominated for national team and was able to once again focussed on his club. There he was henceforth used mostly as a right-back, under coach Diego Simeone as well as a sweeper.

After continued good performance at Club Angeleri was elected in 2008 to tenth place in the election to South America's Footballer of the Year.

In the course of his career Angeleri played in the Copa Sudamericana 2008 and the Copa Libertadores in 2009, when he was injured, however, and long separated. After his recovery he came in another league games and the Copa Libertadores in 2010 for use before moving to Sunderland in the same year.

After two unsuccessful years Angeleri moving to Estudiantes de La Plata. After a year he moved to the 2013/14 season to FC Málaga.

Sunderland AFC

On July 24, 2010 Angeleri signed for an estimated transfer fee of 1.5 million pounds at AFC Sunderland a contract for three years. He belonged to the 25-man squad for the 2010/11 season and made ​​his debut on December 26, 2010 at the 0-2 defeat against Manchester United when he came on for Boudewijn Zenden.

His first FA Cup match completed Angeleri 8 January 2011 against Notts County.
