Marcus Ahlm (* July 7, 1978 in Norra Åsum, Kristianstad Municipality ) is a former Swedish handball player.
Career
In his youth, Marcus Ahlm played among others at IFK Kristianstad handball and then moved to IFK Ystad HK. In 2003 he came to Kiel and evolved into the 04/05 season one of the major players. This season he made with Nikola Karabatic the middle block, which is among the best in the German handball. After the 2012/13 season Ahlm ended his career. He was considered one of the best runners in the world circuit. He is compared with Magnus Wislander. In 2005 he was chosen " Player of the Year in Sweden" to. By THW Kiel Ahlm won among others eight times the German championship three times and the Champions League.
In 1999, Marcus Ahlm at the Junior World Championships in part ( the Swedes won silver), 2001, he first played for the Swedish men's national team. A year later won the European Championship in Sweden, the own country. Also for the World Cup qualifiers in 2005 Marcus Ahlm had been scheduled as a circle runner. An injury prevented him from participating ( games against Turkey, Belgium and Belarus ). For him, Pelle Linders jumped. Marcus Ahlm played 114 matches scoring 367 goals while.
After the end of his active career Ahlm became a member of the board of THW Kiel.

Marcus Ahlm studied chemistry, is married and has two daughters and a son.
